The Jacob Rago Memorial Fund, Inc. is a local 501(c)(3) non-profit, established to support families in need in our surrounding communities.

Our foundation was created in 2017 after the passing of my 15 year old nephew, Jacob. He was a joy and a blessing, who loved life and everyone around him. In our first year we raised money and awarded a scholarship to a much deserving senior at Mentor High School, but to truly honor the memory of Jacob, we reached out to the very foundation that helped our family during Jacob's

year-long treatment and asked them what we could do to help them succeed.

 

A Special Wish, Cleveland Chapter runs a program called Sparkles of Joy and it is made possible through partnerships with community businesses. This program allows children who are immune-compromised to visit establishments such as Build a Bear, Dave and Buster’s or The Lego Store during closed hours, or have donated meals taken to them, at home or at the hospital.

 

Our new partnership with A Special Wish will allow us to channel our fundraising efforts and ensure the expansion of the Sparkles of Joy program.
